In summer, Lipno is real tourism centre. Lakesides are full of beaches and places suitable for swimming or sunbathing. For those who likes more sports is offered windsurfing, yachting and for less demanding boats or treadles. Families with children can spend toboggans and other attractions. The municipality Lipno nad Vltavou offers also wide range of aktivities (e.g. bikepark, bobsled track, ...).

Autumn is Lipno popular resort for all romantic people, photographers and nature lovers. In this time is Lipno resort real paradise for fishermen and mush roomers.

The lake Lipno is the largest natural skating rink during the winter. With skate or cross-country skiing you can visit many otherwise inaccessible places. Christmas or New Year’s Eve has in the snow-covered landscape of Šumava very nice glamour. Ski resort Lipno Kramolín offers many slopes, snowboard park, ski school and all the necessary facilities including aquapark and availability for the youngest children.  The highest-quality skiing offers resort Hochficht, not so far from Černá v Pošumaví. It is located on the Austrian side of Šumava over the hill called Hochficht (Smrčina 1.338m above sea level). It permit skiing on 8 slopes of different levels in a total lenght 20 km thereby it satisfies also demanding skiers.
